The very best Chinese? No, but considering its size and location, best in Eagan. I get the house fried rice and others in my family get the Pad Thai and combo meals. The only thing I'm not crazy about is the saucy chicken wings. But they get our business pretty much every Sunday night. If give it 5 stars but they're not cheap. Still, they offer me a very good value for what they do charge. I'd recommend them to family and friends.

I am not hard to please when it comes to food and in the past when I was having a hankering for Americanized Chinese food this was the spot to go. Not any more this place may have had a change of ownership as it is not what it used to be. The last 2 times I have eaten there it has been just plain nasty. Cold egg foo young tonight. There are so many other options in Eagan you have to just plain lazy not to drive the 2 or 3 miles away to get much better food.

Quality of food is good. He's originally from Long Island (and I love my NY Chinese food). No wonder why it's so good. If you are lucky and he has Chow Fun noodles, it's a treat. He used to make Chow Fun for me all the time. Recommend going there for take out. Worth the trip.

In desperation, my husband picked up food from China Gourmet for dinner, and it was awful. The soups were so salty and the stir fry was thick and gooey. Usually we would drive to Minneapolis or St. Paul for good Chinese and China Gourmet affirms that we definitely will need to continue to do so.

The best American Chinese Food in the area. The Chow Mein is what I go back for. I don't eat Chow Mein anywhere else, because China Gourmet's Chow Mein is not greasy and the perfect consistency. I sometimes enjoy cold Chinese Food, but I don't like the thick grease layer after refrigeration. It doesn't happen with the food here. I love the General Tso's Chicken and Fried Chicken Wings. In fact, anything fried and chicken is good for me. Regrettably, I took a lot of time to find that going somewhere else was a waste of time and precious funds. Mr precious funds should go toward Shrimp Cashew Nut instead.
